Visitor Information
Visiting Hours are from Monday to Sunday 10:00am – 8:00pm
Visiting time is limited to 5 minutes in the Intensive Care Unit because of the severity of the patient’s condition. Visiting is kept at a minimum in the Labor/Delivery, Nursery and the Maternity Ward. This limitation is to protect new babies from exposure and spread of infection.
Children under 12 years are allowed short periods. Caretakers are authorized by the order of the physicians in the regular patient wards (i.e. Pediatric, Medical and Surgical). A badge obtained from hospital security will allow a caretaker at the bedside after hours. Because of the limited beds available, and the unpredictable admissions, beds are available for patient use only.
Television/Radio
Television and radio are allowed at a cost of $5.00 a day. To comply with safety standards; TV and all appliances should be checked by Bio-Med before use. To allow for rest period for other patients, earphone should be used, the volume turned very low. The security guards will make rounds at 9:00 pm to assure that all TV’s have been turned off.
Nutrition:
The hospital will provide three meals a day. We ask your assistance in keeping your bed clean and clear of food at all times to control pests in the hospital. Care-takers are asked to have their meals in the cafeteria or waiting areas outside on the benches provided. There is refrigeration in the patients’ wards for beverages, but storing of food in the room is discouraged.
Discharge Planning:
Assistance is available in preparing patients and families for discharge. These include patient, family, teaching and placement in skilled care facilities, equipment for home use and public health referrals; etc.
Hand Washing:
When you are in the patient care area, please wash your hands before and after touching the patient. You can also wash your hands before and after your visit. Please feel free to use the alcohol based dispensers on the wall.
Morgue:
Remains of loved ones will be taken to the morgue to await embalming. Dressing needs and procedures may be discussed with the morgue staff, who will also be able to answer any questions. A hospital release form will be processed and services paid for at the hospital business office where arrangements for the prayer services will be finalized.
Visiting hours for your convenience to view family members/friends are as follows:
